There's Nothing Like a Good Book

Josie loves reading to her cousin Cayla! They are so cute together:) Sidenote: This book uses the word "hate", and Josie isn't really allowed to say it at home, so she made sure to say it twice (hatey-hate) and then look at me to see what I'd say about that.

All Tangled Up

This is from last night when I went in to check on the boys before I went to bed. I have no idea how they get any sleep, but they love being together.

Basketball games and loving on Cayla

We were able to see my brother coach two games while we were in Iowa, and that was so fun! Gabe, especially, was really into the games. The pictures in this post are from the second game, which was a last minute addition to the schedule so there wasn't much of a crowd. That was great for us, because the kids could see everything up close...the night before, the game was packed and we made the mistake of sitting behind the student section, and they NEVER sat down the entire game. We also had some sweet times with my much loved niece, Cayla-when we were leaving the BB game, Seth said, "I think Cayla is the cutest baby I have ever seen". She is a doll.

Grandma is trying to watch the game, but two girls really like
her and want her attention:)

Score!

The other team just hit a three:(

Josie spent more time watching Jer on the bench than she did
watching the girls play ball

Look at the hair (Seth's, that is!)...you people told me to let him
grow it out, so I blame you. Oh, except my mom, who is dying to cut it.

Done reading and ready to relax!

My mom came to St. Louis to stay with us and ended up getting stranded due to bad weather in Iowa, so we got to keep her for a whole week! We had loads of fun.

The kids got a kick out of this...completely her idea, btw:)

The Magic House

I'm so behind...I already put these pictures on Facebook a while back, so just ignore if you've already seen them! I realized, though, that I want the kids to be able to look back through this blog and see what life was like when they were kids-actually, they love to look at older posts even now and remember the fun things we did:) Plus, some of you don't do Facebook. So, here is the Magic House, which is our childrens' museum, with my favorites from two different visits crammed into one post. This isn't even half of the activities it offers, but I got tired of uploading and you would've been bored to tears:)

The Jack and the Beanstalk climbing structure spans three floors, and the kids love it.

The next few pictures are all of the Curious George room

The bubble piano, which makes bubbles as you play notes.

The static electricity ball (the boys were too sweaty on this day,
so it didn't work as well as usual)

The Lewis and Clark Expedition rooms-the boys even got to do
a hidden trail adventure (Jos was bummed b/c she was too little)

Gabe is watching his magnetic fish travel under the clear sidewalk
and end up back where Seth and Josie are catching more fish.

They loved putting these little squishy balls into the air-powered tubes
and watching where the balls shot out-you could change routes by
flipping different levers.
