Today was the first day of school for the boys. They were very nervous! Gabe woke up super early, saying he felt like someone was poking a sword into his stomach. I asked him if maybe he was just feeling anxious, and he said yes:) I was a wreck worrying (yes, sinfully worrying-I'll just own up to it right off the bat)about how Seth would do. Turns out Seth had a great day, so I was very thankful. When I picked him up, his teacher whispered to me, "He is SO smart." I told Seth she had said that and asked him why he thought she said that. His reply, "I don't know. I didn't even answer any questions." Classic Seth-so cute. Gabe is still at school, so I'll report on him later. You can tell from his pained expressions below how nervous he was-I couldn't get a smile. Thanks to our precious friends and families who I know have been praying for the boys today. Love you all!

This was after picking him up from his first
day-I think it went well!

Way to go Seth! He is so smart!
I hope Gabe had a great day too!!
Love you guys!!!
God is so good! I am glad He showered down blessings upon both you and Seth! Tell Seth we are so proud of him. Hi Five! Probably a "nuckles" from the kids.
Poor Gabe. Want to just hug that guy. Hope his day had the Lord's hands written all over it too.
The kitchen transformed great Codi. Nice work! Now if only I could come have some coffee in it. ;) Great talking to you today. OOOOO's galore!
All I can think of is, "S says 'sss', S says 'sss', every letter makes a sound S says 'sss'. How many times a day do you hear the letter sounds at your house? So glad to hear Seth's first day went so well.
So precious! I am a wreck thinking about putting Rebekah in "school" in a few weeks...feel for you (times 2!) That expression on Seth's face might have been his mom forcing a pic on him in front of the other kids! :) Just don't roll down the window and yell how much you love him when he's 15...
Gabe, cheer up man! Where is your smile? I start Little League in a few weeks.
Your Cousin,
Luke
Seth, I love Rock Star, your have a Rock Star guitar. When we go to Iowa, I could play with you.
Love your cousin,
David
Seth, I am so glad you liked your first day! I bet riding the bus with your big bro was exciting!
Gabe, I too used to get that same anxious feeling in my stomach. One of the first verses I learned when I was little was Joshua. 1:9. I used to say it to myself when ever I was needing to fight a fear that was attacking me. "Have I not commanded you be strong and couragous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God with be with you where ever you shall go." Joshua was given the task to lead his people into the promised land God was going to give them, but it ment that battles where ahead of them. It was a hard task and much to be afraid of. But God said, I will be with you, I will fight for you, don't be afraid. Gabe, God is right beside you. When you are at home, outside and sitting in school, ready to fight with you. I love you man!
Codi, You have made your home warm and charming...can't wait for the day to stand in your kitchen and visit with you!
been praying for you. You will love the parkway school district. We might come in September so if you need from home let us know.
