Josie Update (belated)

I meant to do a brief update on Josie when she turned 3 1/2 (which was Dec. 10th) just so I can look back and remember her at this age. This is such a fun age!

Josie Elisabeth
39 inches tall
36 pounds
Interests: ANYTHING the boys are doing (spies, Star Wars, building forts, playing sports, etc.); gymnastics (she doesn't have classes, we just practice our moves at home); playing baby dolls and dollhouse, playing with her kitchen and groceries and cash register; playing with her many friends here on campus; RUNNING! (she literally runs everywhere and doesn't tire easily-our friends are always getting a kick out of this when we are outside); she loves letters-there are 3 pesky letters she keeps getting confused but she knows the rest and can write her name minus that tricky S; loves playing games...Yahtzee, Candy Land, Guess Who?, I Spy Letter Bingo, Clue, etc.

Words I would use to describe her at this age: Affectionate, loving, athletic, adventerous, tough (she knows how to stand up for herself), compassionate, sensitive (sometimes overly so, just like Gabe), hilarious, and kind-hearted.

A little Q & A with Josie:
What's your favorite color? Pink
What's your favorite cartoon? Dora
Favorite food? Pepperoni Pizza
Favorite game? Guess Who
Who do you think you'll marry when you grow up? You, mommy. Or maybe my boys so I can grow up and live with Gabe and Seth forever.
What's your favorite thing about St. Louis? Um, playing with my friends and The Magic House and the zoo.
What are you thankful for? Um, I'm thankful for you and kissing you.
Who are you praying for right now? Grandma and Cooper and Dulce (our World Vision sweetie)
What do you love about God? I love singing to him and I love David & Goliath and Baby Moses in the basket.

Things we are working on (lest anyone think we don't have issues to deal with every single day!): Self-control (with her voice when someone has wronged her or she doesn't get what she wants); a joyful and obedient heart (even when she doesn't feel like doing what we have asked); Having an unselfish heart (it's so hard to put others ahead of yourself and yet so important to learn).

Love the update and especially the last part! Selfishness is so hard!!! Something I still struggle with, but so key as you say!
